Date, SonnetAbyssal diamonds jewel the sky above. We're holding hands within a darkened wood, But never has a brighter place seen love, For our hearts' flame has lightened more than could The stars. We're lost in thought, but not in place, As through this land we trek. Then presently We both with love vehemently embrace; We've found the scene we sought. Majestically The moon ascends, the mountains and their snow Becoming other-worldly monarchs in That eerie glow, and charming us below. The view is not quite free, to my chagrin. As worthy as it is, theDate, Sonnet

Loss, SonnetThe clock has just struck twelve, and I cannot Recall a night more tenebrous than this. I'm sure I feel my heart begin to rot. The loss replaces love with an abyss. A string quartet is playing in my mind; A piece by Shostakovich soothes the pain, But never will there be a cure; Unkind Mortality my hope has cruelly slain. My head is numb; my thoughts are thoughts of thee. My woe flows coldly from the Acheron. Oh Charon! Slow the ferry! Wait for me! I plan to join thy passengers ere dawn. But will I find my love? Will we embrace In EreLoss, Sonnet
So glad you liked my work dear, have a wonderful month!

Natures first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold, Her early leaf's a flower, But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf, So eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I'm glad you like that part! It was my feeble attempt at humor.
